YAY!! It’s nearing the end of September…. Which means we are a little closer to cooler weather here in Houston, Texas. I love this time of year. The promise of cooler days means more outdoor time. It means Sweaters and booties start to appear. It means layers!!! Who is not excited for layers!?!?!?!

Eyelet blouses like these can transition from summer to fall so easily – they can be paired with high waisted jeans and a corduroy blazer and they can be tucked into pair of slacks for a dressier vibe.

Another easy to transition piece is the denim skirt. It can go from summer to fall with a simple change of shoe. For even colder climates you can add hosiery or long socks into the mix.

When do you transition your wardrobe? Do you wait until the official start of fall? Do you wait until the weather actually changes?

Historically, I “force fall,” you will find me in sweaters and booties in the heat of September until well past Halloween when it does finally cool down.

Hoping that you all had a wonderful end to your summer. Here’s to looking ahead to a fun, fashionable and festive FALL!!
