  • Memorial Day Weekend Checklist

Here is you Memorial Day Weekend Checklist! Let’s get Summer started!!

    1. TEE SHIRT

You need a good summer tee shirt to pop on over your swimsuit, wear to hang out and do a little boutique browsing in. I love to pick up a striped one for some pattern, and a good white and black one. This one is a great moisture wicking, comfortable fabric that I invested in several weeks ago. I find a way to wear it at least once a week!!

    2. SHORTS

What is Summer without shorts!? Whatever excuse you might have for not wearing shorts, I am here to tell you “WEAR THE SHORTS!” It is too hot and life is too short to not be cool and comfortable in the Summer heat! Just don’t let your butt cheek hang out. There are shorts for everyone out there.

These are a great bargain and a very comfortable pair, they also come in longer lengths. Get some denim shorts, wear them all the time and you will thank me later!!

    3. SUNDRESS

Sundresses are the epitome of summer. Easy, breezy and pretty. I love to find summer dresses in solid colors with simple lace or linen details. They can be dressed up easily with summer wedges or nude sandals. Then you can wear them with white sneakers and a denim jacket for casual strolling on beach weekends.

I just ordered this one today. It has been on my list for two months now and I finally just ordered. I am hoping that it is TTS.

    4. SANDALS

This year I have really been drawn to the Birkenstock style sandal with the relaxed footbed. But make it cloud form and you’ve got a comfy sandal to prance about in all summer. These Tory Burch Miller sandals are so pretty. They have a cloud form sole and a stingray leather detail. I loved the blue color so much that I ordered them early in April. They are TTS, so order your regular size.

    5. SWIMSUIT

This swimsuit is a great print, fit and price point. I love a carefree swimsuit for laying out, but if I am going to be in the pool, on waterslides and running around a waterpark with my three kids, I want a swimsuit that covers and stays in place.

    6. SUNGLASSES

I will rave about these sunglasses until everyone owns them!! For the price, you can afford to wear them everywhere and not worry about them. They are stunning with their little gold studs and edge up any outfit you wear them with.

    7. SUNSCREEN

If you take anything away from the things that I write/talk/share. Then PUH-LEASE, PRETTY PUH-LEASE wear sunscreen! Do it early. Train your kids early. You need a face sunscreen and a body sunscreen and you need to apply them daily. Wear them if you will be outside of extended amounts of time. Keep a spray bottle outside your back door for spraying down your legs and kids when they are playing.

    8. TOTE BAG

This red Bogg Bag has become a go to must have for all things wet and wild and fun! I love that I can be carefree about what gets stuck inside (sunscreen, mosquito repellant, wet swimsuits, cotton candy) I never know what my kids are going to need next. I can just hose it down if it gets icky.

I am off to plan some more Summer now!!

    What are your plans??
