What to wear underneath…
This skirt has a built in panty with as much coverage as a swimsuit bottom. I like the look, however needed more coverage and found it in a pair of black Spanx shorts. They were just long enough to provide the necessary coverage I sought and were short enough to be invisible under the length of my black blazer. All in the name of modesty of course.
Here are some more ideas for what to wear underneath:
- shape wear – shaper shorts, a shaper bodysuit or a tube shaper are great options. You can just layer on top and everything is covered. Try nude or black for very different looks.

Pairing it with a belted blazer is a great date night option, and here are several other ways to style this skirt:
For a more everyday elevated looks, try:
- dress it down – pair with sneakers and an oversized graphic tee shirt.
- style it with a sweater and a pair of boots. Add a pair of wool lined tights for warmth.
- tuck in a button down shirt and let the shirt tails peek through.
- try a white tank and a pair of dressy sandals.
For more date night looks:
- another date night look – a black leather motorcycle jacket and boots or heels.
- Oversized blazer and a pair of strappy Mary janes
- Consider replacing your jeans with it once you are dressed. Your simple white tee and a pair of black pumps. This is the simplest way to understand how to wear the mesh or lace skirt. You simply style it as you would any other piece of clothing in your wardrobe.

I paid it with my trusty black blazer and a Dior belt with matching gold hardware. For shoes, I kept it simple with a pair of simple scrappy black sandals.
