Here are 5 Outdated Summer Trends and how to update them! If you want to stay fresh and modern, consider updating these items in your wardrobe. SANDALS
Gladiator Sandals – are dated and can be such a hassle to get in and out of anyway. Although, they would be great for a Roman Holiday, you can instead try a two banded slide or a multi banded platform. Think how easily they slip on and off! They are sleek and go just as easy with slacks as they do with shorts or a dress.

FLIP FLOPS
Flip – Flops – were these ever in?? Sure, flip flops are great for lazy beach days, but anywhere outside of the beach, lake or pool, try to opt for a dressier, more constructed shoe. Sometimes a simple tweak like a leather, grosgrain ribbon or plastic jelly can dress up a flip flop. The one exception this summer is the uber trendy high heeled thong sandal! It’s the look of a thong flip flop, but all the structure of a heels. Bonus for the calk pop!

Prairie Tops – let the bohemian cotton poet shirts go for a bit. As tempting as they are and as seemingly endless summer as they appear. They’ve been replaced by a simpler & cheaper top! A Simple Tank. Rock a simple clean tank. A white tank will be the top you wear all summer. These tanks are modern, fresh and so versatile since they go with everything! Stock up on white, and get some colors, black and patterns while your adding to your collection, they are worth it!

SHORTS
Super short shorts – this is one of those trends that I am finding a very difficult time letting go of. I feel like these are super flattering to my shorter stature. They make my legs look long!! However, I do really enjoy the longer bike shorts and some of the longer more tailored shorts.
